Luke 1:30-33 MKJV
(30) And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
(31) And behold! You shall conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name JESUS.
(32) He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David.
(33) And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end.
NOTE: All the words to Mary concerning the destiny of Jesus have not been totally fulfilled yet.
Luke 2:8-15 MKJV
(8) And in the same country there were shepherds living in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
(9) And lo, the angel of the Lord came on them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. And they were grievously afraid.
(10) And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For behold, I give to you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
(11) For to you is born today, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
(12) And this is a sign to you. You will find the babe wrapped, lying in a manger.
(13) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,
(14) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
(15) And it happened as the angels departed from them into Heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Indeed, let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing which has happened, which the Lord made known to us.
NOTE: Heavens did not give to the shepherds the name that was to be given to the newborn child. Instead of telling that Jesus was born, Angel of Jehovah told the shepherds it was MESSIAH JEHOVAH [in Hebrew] who was born. None of the heavenly beings mentioned the name Jesus. Put together all the prophecies regarding the Messiah, Jesus was said to be 'God with us' as the name Immanuel translates. Since God is Jehovah, Immanuel implies that Jesus is Jehovah.
Matthew 2:1-12 MKJV
(1) Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem,
(2) saying, Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.
(3) But when Herod the king heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
(4) And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
(5) And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judea. For so it is written by the prophet,
(6) "And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the governors of Judah. For out of you shall come a Governor who shall rule My people Israel."
(7) Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, inquired of them exactly what time the star appeared.
(8) And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child. And when you have found him, bring me word again so that I may come and worship him also.
(9) When they had heard the king, they departed. And lo, the star which they saw in the east went before them until it came and stood over where the child was.
(10) And seeing the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
(11) And coming into the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother. And they fell down and worshiped Him. And opening their treasures, they presented gifts to Him, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
(12) And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
